Hero Vida Ubex electric bike patented in India: What to expect
Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility arm, Vida, is gearing up to enter the electric motorcycle space. The company has now patented the design of its second electric bike, the Vida Ubex, in India. The Vida Ubex was first revealed internationally at EICMA 2025, where Hero MotoCorp showcased two electric motorcycle concepts: the Ubex and Project VxZ. Here’s a quick look at what to expect from the Ubex.

Hero Vida’s new electric bike: What to expect

While the VxZ’s design patent was filed in India earlier, the latest filing for the Ubex confirms that both electric bike projects are being evaluated seriously for domestic launch. In its patented form, the Vida Ubex appears as a compact, muscular naked electric motorcycle. The design carries a strong streetfighter character, with an angular front end, upright riding posture and minimal bodywork. A mono projector headlamp flanked by LED DRLs give it an aggressive look. Besides, it features telescopic forks in the front, a monoshock at the rear and disc brakes on both wheels. One of the most noticeable elements is the large battery pack mounted low in the frame. Power is expected to come from a mid-mounted electric motor driving the rear wheel, similar to other Vida concepts shown earlier.
The technical specifications have not been revealed yet.Inside the cockpit, the motorcycle is likely to feature a TFT display with connected technology, including smartphone integration and turn-by-turn navigation. For now, Hero MotoCorp has not announced a launch timeline, and road-testing prototypes of the e-bike are yet to be spotted in India. When it does arrive, it is expected to be sold through Hero’s premium Premia dealerships and dedicated Vida outlets.
