Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV launch next month: Expected price, specs, range of Tata Nexon EV rival
Mahindra revealed its first fully electric SUV, the XUV400, in September this year. Based on the XUV300 ICE, the XUV400 will serve as a direct competitor to the Tata Nexon EV - India's best-selling electric car. While the manufacturer had revealed all specifications of the e-SUV, the one thing that is yet to be ascertained is the price.
We already know that the Mahindra XUV400 will come equipped with a 39.4 kWh battery pack that returns a claimed range of 456 km on a single full charge.
Moreover, this battery pack can be charged from 0% to 80% in 50 minutes through a DC fast charger. It will make use of a permanent magnet synchronous motor that belts out 150 PS (110 kW) of power and 310 Nm of peak torque. This powertrain will help the electric SUV sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds.

That said, Mahindra has confirmed that the prices of the XUV400 will be revealed next month. We expect the company to price the XUV400 electric SUV from around Rs 15 lakh. In comparsion, the Tata Nexon EV, its arch rival, is currently priced from Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 20.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
