After having recently added a more affordable electric scooter in its lineup, Ola Electric is now working on an electric motorcycle. Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to Twitter for a post hints towards a the making of a new electric bike, and then followed it with another tweet in which he did a poll asking his followers which type of motorcycle do they prefer – Sports, Cruiser, Adventure or Cafe Racer. The poll so far has the Sports category the maximum votes.

Ola Electric’s first product in the electric mobility segment is the S1 scooter which went on pick up a lot of popularity. It comes in three trims – S1 Air, S1 Standard and S1 Pro.
While Aggarwal did not let out any more details about the electric motorcycle, we could expect the upcoming electric bike to get the same technology but with more features, better range and more power. In line with the electric bike trend in India, the Ola bike would likely come with connected tech for onboard navigation, phone controls, etc.
More details about the electric bike should revealed sometime next year. If Ola Electric has started working on the bike, it’ll be in planning stage also based on the CEO’s tweets and it should at least a couple of years from introduction. Besides the bike, Ola Electric has also announced ambitious plans to launch an electric car. The company’s first electric car is expected to be priced at or under about Rs 10 lakh.
