Updated Citroen C3 Aircross launched at Rs 8.5 lakh: Here’s what’s new
Citroen India today announced the launch of the new Citroen Aircross SUV. The company has dropped the C3 prefix and is now just called as Citroen Aircross. The updated SUV gets revised pricing, additional features, enhanced safety and also benefits from an additional engine option. Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership and the deliveries will begin from October 8.
Talking about the price and variants, the Aircross is offered in a total of six variants and two engine options with prices ranging from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom 5 seater). Additionally, customers can opt for a 5+2 seater at Rs 35,000 and do note that the prices are introductory and will be for a limited period of time. Variant-wise features below.
There are no exterior changes made to the car, it gets additional features such as projector LED headlamps, auto-folding ORVMs, automatic climate control, display, a larger, sliding front armrest, six airbags, a new flip key, soft-touch instrument panel, grab handles and the rear power window switches placed on the door cards. Safety-wise wise it gets six airbags, ESP, hill hold, TPMS and ISOFIX child mounts.
It continues to get features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car tech with 40 features, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, fully digital instrument cluster with drive modes.
Talking about the powertrain, the SUV continues to get a 1.2-litre, 3-cyl, turbocharged petrol engine which produces 110 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque in 6-speed MT and 205 nm torque in a 6-speed torque converter AT. The same engine and gearbox also do the duty in the C3 hatchback and Basalt coupe SUV.
Additionally with this update, the company has also introduced a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol engine with 82 PS of power and 115 Nm torque and comes paired only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This same setup also does the duty in the C3 hatchback and Basalt coupe SUV.
