Apart from a few launches, a range of companies showcased products that will be launched in the Indian market in the coming months and years.

We have put together a list of the top 5 cars unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 that are set to be launched in the country in the coming months, take a look -

Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The Maruti Suzuki Fronx is the production name for the YTB crossover that was showcased on Day 2 at the Auto Expo 2023. The Fronx will be retailed through Maruti Suzuki's premium Nexa dealerships, with bookings for the crossover now open. Based on the Baleno premium hatch, the Fronx is packed up to the gills with features and safety tech, including a head-up display, a wireless charger, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by Arkamys, paddle shifters (AT only), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, Hill Hold Assist and more!

Apart from the Baleno's 1.2-litre mild-hybrid engine that is rated at 90 PS/113 Nm, the Fronx is also being offered with a new 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 100 PS of power and 148 Nm torque. The former is available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 5-speed AMT, while the latter can be had with either a 5MT and an optional 6-speed torque converter AT. Pricing could start from around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Yet another stellar Maruti Suzuki unveil at this year's Auto Expo was the Jimny 5-door. Showcased right alongside the Fronx, the Jimny will be launched in the Indian market in the coming months, with bookings already open at Nexa outlets. Upon arrival, the Jimny will directly put up against the Mahindra Thar in the Indian market.

The Jimny will be offered with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine putting out 105 PS power and 135 Nm torque, available with a 5-speed MT and an optional 4-speed AT. Power will be sent to all four wheels through the company's AllGrip Pro 4WD system. Maruti Suzuki could price the Jimny from around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Altroz CNG

Tata Motors already offers the CNG version of two of its cars - Tiago and Tigor, however, the carmaker has now confirmed that the Altroz will join its i-CNG range soon too. The Altroz CNG was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo with a new dual cylinder setup - both of which will be placed under the boot floor, ensuring a minimal compromise on boot space unlike other CNG cars.

The Altroz's 1.2-litre petrol engine will produce 77 PS power and 95 Nm torque, when coupled with the factory-fit CNG kit. In petrol mode, the power rises up to 86 PS. Tata will be offering the Altroz CNG with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. The Altroz CNG was also seen equipped with an electric sunroof, however, the feature will likely be limited to the range-topping CNG variant only.

Tata Punch CNG

Just like the Altroz, the Punch is also set to receive a CNG option soon. Showcased alongside the Altroz CNG, the Punch CNG will also be offered with the same 1.2-litre petrol-CNG powertrain. Moreover, the dual cylinder setup will also be seen on the Tata Punch CNG.

The Punch CNG will be offered with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a semi-digital instrument cluster, 16-inch alloy wheels, an engine start/stop button, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver's seat and a voice-activated electric sunroof. The CNG variants will likely carry a premium of about Rs 90,000 over the corresponding petrol trims.

Tata Safari, Harrier Red Dark

Yet another special edition version for the Harrier and Safari, the 'Red Dark' version displayed at the Auto Expo 2023 boasted more than just a paint job though. Apart from the all-black treatment with contrasting red touches on the front grille, brake calipers as well as red seats, the Safari and Harrier Red Dark editions also gets a range of new features.

The two versions were showcased with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will replace the comparatively outdated 7.0-inch unit that is currently on offer. Apart from that, the Red Dark edition also adds a new fully-digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, as well as ADAS safety tech. However, these features will also likely trickle down to other variants of the two Tata SUVs.
