Renault Bridger SUV reveal tomorrow: All about Nexon, Brezza rival
Renault India is all set to reveal the new Renault Bridger concept SUV tomorrow i.e, March 10, 2026. The Bridger will be the brand’s new sub-4-metre SUV, expected to be positioned alongside the Kiger. The name ‘Bridger’ is derived from the word ‘bridge’, with the letters ‘ER’ added for identification, and the SUV will be designed and developed in India. The company also said that the name is intended to symbolise connection, reflecting the brand’s idea of linking innovation, design and markets through its upcoming compact SUV.
As per the teasers, the Renault Bridger concept’s design reveals a boxy silhouette and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Renault has confirmed that the upcoming urban SUV will measure under 4 metres in length but will not compromise on cabin space. A teaser video also shows illuminated Renault lettering on the fascia, similar to the international-spec Renault Duster. Other exterior highlights include upright stance, a squared silhouette, a high bonnet line and flat body surfaces inspired by traditional off-road vehicles. At rear, it also features the tailgate-mounted spare wheel, commonly seen on off-road-focused SUVs.
The new Bridger, internally codenamed RB3-K2 B-SUV, is expected to be offered with multiple powertrain options, including petrol, hybrid, CNG and electric. It’s also expected to use the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Renault Kiger. The unit produces 100hp and is available with a manual or CVT transmission.
Once introduced, the model is expected to compete with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet in the segment. The model will also benefit from Renault’s localisation strategy and positioning in the Indian market. A version from Nissan is also likely to follow at a later stage. For Renault, the model could help strengthen its sales in India by expanding its presence in the high-volume compact SUV segment, where demand remains strong.
