Renault India today finally launched the next-generation Renault Duster in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is built on the company’s RGMP platform and features a redesigned exterior. The SUV will compete with Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Maruti Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, and others in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment. The new Renault Duster is offered in five variants - authentic, evolution, techno, techno plus and iconic with prices ranging from Rs 10.29 lakh to Rs 18.09 lakh (both prices ex-showroom). The starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh is applicable for customers who pre-book their cars by March 2026; after that, the standard price starts from Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Creta is offered in E, EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, SX(O), and King edition priced between Rs 10.7 lakh and Rs 20.2 lakh (ex-showroom).

Comparing dimensions next, the Hyundai Creta measures 4330 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, 1635 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2610 mm. It has ground clearance of 190 mm, boot space of 433 litres, and wheel size ranges from 16 to 17 inches. The 2026 Renault Duster measures 4346 mm in length, 1815 mm in width, 1703 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2657 mm. It has a ground clearance of 212 mm, boot space of 518 litres. Compared to the Hyundai Creta, the 2026 Renault Duster is slightly longer, wider and taller, with a longer wheelbase, higher ground clearance and significantly larger boot space.

The Hyundai Creta is offered with three engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with 160hp of power and 260 Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. A 1.5-litre turbo diesel with 116 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. Gearbox options include a 6-speed MT, iMT, CVT(dubbed iVT), 6-speed AT and a 7-speed DCT.
The new Renault Duster will be offered with three engine options - a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 100 PS power and 160 nm torque paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Another engine is a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol with 163 PS power and 280 nm torque paired with a 6-speed DCT or a 6-speed manual. There’s also a bigger 1.8-litre strong hybrid petrol engine with 109 hp paired with a 49hp electric motor and a 20hp hybrid starter generator (HSG), paired with a 1.4kWh (280V) battery. Together, this configuration delivers a combined system output of 160hp and 172Nm.

Talking about the features in Creta, it gets twin 10-25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and for the infotainment system.
