New Hyundai Venue Diesel variant launched under Rs 14 lakh: Details explained
Hyundai Motor India today announced the launch of a new, more affordable variant of the Venue diesel automatic. The new HX8 diesel AT is priced at Rs 13.70 lakh (ex-showroom), and previously, the diesel AT powertrain was only offered with the top-of-the-line HX10 trim priced at Rs 15.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The introduction of the new variant lowers the entry price for the diesel-AT option by Rs 1.81 lakh. The update comes as the new Venue crosses 1 lakh bookings since its launch in November last year. Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.
Talking about the engines first, the Venue diesel AT is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel engine with 116 hp, 250 nm torque and comes paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Gearbox options include a manual or a 7-speed DCT.
The HX8 sits just below the top-spec HX10 in the Venue range. Hyundai has not revised the equipment list for this trim. Features-wise, it gets 10.25-inch touchsceen system, digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a four-way powered driver’s seat, sunroof, automatic climate control, electric parking brake, wireless charger, 16-inch alloy wheels, leatherette upholstery, connected technology with OTA updates, drive and traction modes, and paddle shifters.
