Iconic carmakers, celeb brand ambassadors duos in India: Sachin for BMW to SRK for Hyundai

The Bollywood Superstar is synonymous to longevity and dominance in terms of films, much like what Hyundai has been in the Indian automotive industry, with a long tenure having served as one of the highest-selling car makers for a long time now. SRK has been associated with the South Korean manufacturer for over 25 years now.

​The French manufacturer roped in Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador in 2015 to promote its range of cars. At present, the OEM sells three car models in India - Kwid, Kiger, and Triber.

The former Indian cricketer, often known as the ‘God of Cricket’ was appointed as the first brand ambassador of BMW in India back in 2012. Tendulkar owns a host of BMW models, including the BMW i8.

The Bollywood actor has been the brand ambassador of Maruti Suzuki Nexa in India for some time now. Singh has endorsed several models from the manufacturer’s premium chain of vehicles including the Ciaz sedan and Baleno.

​Former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has been associated with the German luxury carmaker since 2015. He is known for his aggressive and confident persona, which is a good fit for Audi's luxury and performance cars. He owns several Audi models, of which the first he got was in 2012.
