2026 Renault Duster vs Kia Seltos: Base variant comparison
Renault India recently launched the new 2026 Renault Duster SUV in the Indian market. Pre-bookings for the new Duster are already underway. Interested customers can book the SUV online or at their nearest dealership. The SUV is offered in five variants - authentic, evolution, techno, techno plus and iconic with prices ranging from Rs 10.29 lakh to Rs 18.09 lakh (both prices ex-showroom).
The starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh applies to customers who pre-book their cars by March 2026; after that, the standard price starts at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Duster competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Skoda Kushaq and other compact SUVs in its segment. The new Kia Seltos is offered with Tech Line, GT Line and X-Line trims. The Tech Line forms the core of the lineup with variants such as HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK (O), HTX and HTX (A). Sitting above them, the GT Line is offered in GTX and GTX (A) versions and adds a richer equipment list along with sportier styling cues. The X-Line package, characterised by its darker, more aggressive aesthetic remains exclusive to the GT Line trims.
Kia Seltos HTE (entry-level variant)
The HTE is the entry-level variant of the Kia Seltos and gets features such as six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS, ESC, hill-start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, three-point seatbelts for all seats, a front passenger airbag on/off switch with an indicator, a rearview camera, LED headlights and DRLs, LED tail-lights, 16-inch steel wheels with covers, a shark fin-like antenna, a rear spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, manually operated flush-fitting door handles, black and grey upholstery, manual height adjustment for the driver’s seat, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, a 12-inch driver’s display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two USB-C ports at the front and two at the rear, keyless entry, a centre console with an armrest and cupholders, manual AC, rear AC vents, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
Renault Duster Authentic
The Authentic is the entry level trim and gets features such as 17-inch steel wheels with covers, a rear spoiler, a 7-inch TFT driver’s display, manual AC with rear vents, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, keyless entry, a 12V front socket, black upholstery with grey stitching, a sliding armrest, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, six airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability program, traction control, cornering stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, three-point seatbelts for all seats, ISOFIX anchors, central locking, power windows with auto up/down, hill start assist, automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, LED tail-lamps and ORVM-mounted turn indicators.
