The 2026 update brings minor cosmetic tweaks and an expanded equipment list, while also dropping the 4x2 option from the D-Max V-Cross lineup. With the 4x4 drivetrain now offered as standard. 2026 Isuzu V-Cross vs Toyota Hilux: Price, Variants
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pickup is offered in four variants - Z Standard, Z Premium, Z Prestige standard and Z Prestige premium with prices ranging from Rs 25.50 lakh to Rs 30.28 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The 4x4 is now offered as standard, and the entry-level variant has become Rs 1.23 lakh more expensive than before. At the top end, the D-Max V-Cross Z Prestige Premium 4x4 AT sees a price increase of Rs 63,000.
The Toyota Hilux is offered in three variants - STD, High and Black edition priced between 28 lakh and 35.8 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The 4x4 is now offered as standard. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is Rs 2.50 lakh to Rs 5.52 lakh more affordable than the Toyota Hilux (ex-showroom).

The 2026 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is powered by a 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine producing 163hp and 360Nm, paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. However, the model is now offered only with a 4x4 configuration. An auto-locking differential has also been made standard across all variants to enhance off-road capability.
The Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine with 201bhp of power and 430Nm (manual) or 500Nm (automatic). Gearbox options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It also gets an electronic differential lock, and auto limited slip differential.

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross measures 5,295 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, 1,840 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,095 mm. It offers 225 mm of ground clearance and comes with a 55-litre fuel tank capacity.
Compared to the Toyota Hilux, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is 30 mm shorter, 5 mm wider, and 25 mm taller, with a 10 mm longer wheelbase. It also offers 9 mm more ground clearance but has a 25-litre smaller fuel tank.
