Royal Enfield recalls motorcycles over this issue: Check if yours is affected
Royal Enfield has initiated a global recall affecting all motorcycles manufactured between November 2022 and March 2023 due to an issue with the reflectors on the rear and sides of certain models. Although the exact number of impacted bikes remains undisclosed, the recall applies to all 11 models currently in the company’s lineup.
The company has identified that these reflectors may not meet the necessary performance standards, potentially reducing visibility. While only a small number of motorcycles reportedly have the issue, is proactively recalling all units manufactured during this period as a safety precaution.
Owners of the affected motorcycles will be contacted in phases, with the replacement of faulty reflectors provided free of charge at Royal Enfield service centres. The fix is expected to take around 15 minutes per motorcycle.
The recall spans several regions, including India, the UK, Europe, Latin America, Brazil, the US, Canada, and South Korea. The company emphasizes that this is a preventive measure to ensure rider safety, even though the issue has been detected in only a limited number of bikes.
The company’s last launch came in the form of the updated Classic 350 which followed the all-new Guerrilla 450. Up next, the manufacturer is preparing to launch the Classic 650 which will be joining the likes of Super Meteor 650, 650 twins, and Shotgun 650.
