Royal Enfield 350 line-up prices reduced after GST cut: Check how much
The latest revision of GST slabs has brought a wave of relief for both the four-wheeler and two-wheeler sectors. For motorcycles, those under the 350cc category benefit from lower rates, while models above 350cc face a price hike. GST for motorcycles under 350cc has dropped from 28% to 18%. The larger displacement bikes above 400cc will see their GST burden climb sharply from 28% to 40%. For Royal Enfield, this is particularly significant since its strongest-selling models sit in the 350cc segment, even though the brand’s portfolio includes 14 motorcycles, with most of them above that capacity.
Motorcycles with engines under 350cc, including well-known models like the Hunter, Classic, Meteor, Bullet, and Goan Classic, are now becoming more affordable. On the flip side, larger capacity bikes such as the Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, Scram 440, along with the 650cc range, will see higher taxation, leading to increased prices. Though the exact hike hasn’t been disclosed yet, early estimates suggest an increase of around Rs 18,000 or more, with the premium 650 twins likely to see an even steeper rise.
The company’s bestsellers such as the Classic and Hunter form the backbone of its sales in India, and now every 350cc model has become more pocket-friendly. Starting from September 22, Royal Enfield's five 349cc J-platform motorcycles will get more affordable, with reductions reaching close to Rs 20,000 in certain variants. Below is the complete price table.
At the entry point, the Hunter 350 now carries a price tag of Rs 1.38 lakh, while at the upper end, the Goan Classic drops to Rs 2.18 lakh from its earlier Rs 2.37 lakh. While this move is a win for prospective 350 buyers, the story is different for Royal Enfield’s larger displacement models.
