Hyundai Verna last Indian car with 5-star GNCAP rating: Quick look at other safest cars
From October 1, BNCAP is in effect, hence all crash ratings for cars taken from Indian OEMs will now be done by BNCAP only once their facilities are ready. This means that Hyundai Verna was the last Indian car to get GNCAP 5 stars as they will no longer take cars from Indian OEMs.

The Hyundai Verna scored five stars in both adult occupant protection and child occupant protection. However, the bodyshell was rated unstable.
Volkswagen Taigun/Skoda Kushaq
The Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq both scored five stars in adult occupant protection and child occupant protection, with the bodyshell integrity rated as stable.
Volkswagen Virtus/Skoda Slavia
The Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia also achieved a 5-star safety rating from GNCAP for both adult and child occupant protection, with the bodyshell rated stable.
Mahindra Scorpio-N
The Mahindra Scorpio-N is another Indian car to be tested as per Global NCAP's newer norms, scoring five stars for adult occupant protection and three stars for child occupant protection with a stable bodyshell integrity.
