AstroSage AI has reclaimed the number one position among astrology apps in India on the Google Play Store, surpassing competitors such as AstroTalk and AstroYogi. With more than 1.2 million daily active users, the platform now commands a significant share of the online astrology and horoscope market.
Part of a growing wave of Indian tech-led spiritual services, AstroSage AI’s rise is being attributed to its in-house artificial intelligence systems and a distinct approach to digital astrology. The app ranks among the top 200 mobile applications in India—an unusual feat for a homegrown product in a category typically dominated by international social and entertainment apps.
AI Astrologers and Digital Growth
The company’s Chief Innovation Officer, Punit Pandey, said that when AstroSage AI introduced its “AI astrologers” in 2023, many questioned whether artificial intelligence could replicate human intuition in astrology. “Our AI astrologers are now answering over 20 million questions every month,” he noted, adding that user feedback indicates growing acceptance of automated readings.
Recently, the company also launched a “Talking AI Astrologer” capable of voice-based consultations in multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, and regional dialects such as Bhojpuri and Braj Bhasha. The feature, still in early rollout, aims to make digital astrology more interactive and accessible.
Expansion and Future Plans
According to CEO Pratik Pandey, users are increasingly turning to AI astrologers for guidance on contemporary questions — ranging from career choices and lifestyle decisions to financial investments. The platform plans to expand its language offerings further and make its services available in international markets such as France, Germany, Japan, and Brazil.
From Software to AI Platforms
AstroSage’s evolution traces back more than two decades. The company began with astrology software for palmtop computers in 2002 and introduced Bhrigoo.AI, its first AI-based astrologer, in 2018. The AstroSage Kundli App now has over 72 million downloads, positioning the firm as one of India’s long-standing players in online astrology.
Without external funding so far, the company now plans to raise $25 million to support research in AI-driven astrology and enhance its digital infrastructure.
