Royal blue sapphires in ruffled petals studded in a dazzling diadem. What could be a more flattering title for the Miss World?
And even after she lays it down for another, the bejewelled tiara continues to be an intrinsic part of her subsistence.

Looking back at that night of crowning glory, Hyderabad's queen of beauty, Diana Hayden, says, "I think when you win the Miss World crown, you will always carry the crown with you. You can never forget it. It's the biggest thing that can ever happen to anybody who contests for a beauty pageant. You can't get any higher than that."
Having closely followed her career graph, one quickly draws attention to her self-made persona, which she exudes in bold overtones.
"You never forget where you've come from. That is the most important thing. And it's a great feeling to look back and see how far you've come," she explains.
With a 'hunger for more', as a driving inspiration, she took on the world in her stride. "I was never an ambitious child. I never wanted to be an astronaut or anything else. And I never had a role model. But when I acquire my immediate goals that gives me satisfaction and fulfillment. I live in the moment," she says.

In her pursuit for more, she now endeavours to set up her own charity foundation. "When I won the crown, I never made any promises that I would donate my prize money for charity. That was for my friends, family or whoever I wanted it for. But when I got involved with my work as Miss World, things changed. So now, I am going to have my own foundation," she explains.
Her affection for children also makes us wonder if she believes in marriage. To which she responds, "Absolutely, that's why I'm still not married. I believe marriage is for keeps. And I'm not a huge fan of divorce."
