Reason behind USA's disqualification from the men's 4x100m relay final
Apparently, USA's disqualification comes on the back of a faulty pass of the baton in the first exchange. Mike Rodgers passed the baton to Justin Gatlin on the first exchange, but it happened just outside the exchange zone.

Sindhu did not have her phone during the last three months. The first thing is I would return her phone. The second thing, after coming here for last 12-13 days, I had deprived her from having sweet curd which she likes most. I also stopped her from eating ice-cream. Now she can eat whatever she wants

A bit disappointed but we are happy with the performance. She made us proud. This is her first Olympics and she performed brilliantly. We are confident that she will get the gold next time

I will appeal to the Prime Minister to investigate this matter thoroughly. The truth must come out, even if we need CBI for that. If I'm the culprit, hang me, I'm ready for it. Do a NARCO test on me and also the people who are involved

Women's soccer: Brazil lose to Cananda in bronze medal match
The host nation women's football team, Brazil have lost 2-1 in their bronze medal match against Canada. Brazil made a terrible start going 1-0 down to an exquisite finish from Canada's prolific striker, Deanna Rose. After the break things didn't get much better for the hosts when Canada doubled their lead through their captain, Christine Sinclair. After going 2-0 Brazil did threaten a comeback in the closing stages when Beatriz got a goal back for them, but it was too little too late for the Brazilians who lost out on the medals. Final score: Brazil 1-2 Canada. Canada win the bronze medal.
