I grew up in a world where women are respected, educated, loved and protected; a world where my father spends time in the kitchen and my mother is instrumental in the running of family businesses.
Everybody loves a good villain: Sanjay Dutt's Ballu in Khalnayak, Tom Hiddleston's Loki in Thor, and Andrew Scott's Moriarty from the BBC Sherlock series have had all of us rooting for the bad guy.
I never really appreciated how summering in India as a child would prepare me for my travels as an adult, even for those short breaks across the channel.
