5 interesting revelations from Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Koffee With Karan'

Even though they denied it, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's chemistry was there for all of us to see on 'Koffee With Karan'. The 'Aashiqui 2' couple surely made up for an interesting match on Karan Johar's couch, but the episode had other interesting revelations too. Shraddha Kapoor broke her contract with Yash Raj Films- Shraddha Kapoor may have become a popular name post the success of 'Aashiqui 2' but the role didn't come easy. Shraddha revealed to Karan Johar on the show that she had a tiff with Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films after she broke her contract with them. Shraddha had a three film deal with YRF and didn't abide by the contract after her first film 'Luv Ka The End' with them. Instead, she went ahead and signed 'Aashiqui 2' with the Bhatts. Apparently Shraddha refused to do 'Aurangzeb' and that's what irked YRF. While no one usually dares to rub YRF the wrong way, Shraddha went ahead and did 'Aashiqui 2' as her heart desired. However, she hopes to someday work with YRF and still calls Aditya Chopra her mentor.

Siddharth would mug up stardust- Yes, you read that right. The head honcho of Disney UTV and actor Vidya Balan's husband Siddharth Roy Kapoor apparently used to mug up Stardust magazine. Siddharth's younger brother Aditya Roy Kapoor revealed to Karan on the show about his older brother's penchant for the magazine and also mentioned that Siddharth cried after watching his film 'Aashiqui 2'. Aditya said that Siddharth was fully filmi as a child. Who would have thought that Vidya Balan's husband is such a softie?

Karan learnt dancing from Aditya's mom- Well this one definitely comes as a surprise! We all have seen Karan Johar's dance moves while dancing to the 'I'm back' song for his show 'Koffee With Karan' but no one knows that Karan Johar has taken dancing lessons from Aditya Roy Kapoor's mother. The director revealed that he had joined Aditya's mother's dance classes as a child and he learnt jive, birdie dance, fox trot, waltz and all. Karan said "all those people who think I look ridiculous while dancing, blame it on Aditya's mother". Aditya told how his brothers got their certificates and gold medals but he didn't learn dancing from his mother.

Aditya doesn't recognise Vidya Balan in the 'who am I' category- Apart from the famous rapid fire round, Koffee With Karan is also getting popular for its 'Koffee Quiz'. Host Karan Johar usually has the 'who am I?' question in the quiz and like everytime, this episode too had this question. Karan gave a few clues the answer to which was Aditya Roy Kapoor's sister-in-law Vidya Balan. Instead of Vidya Balan, Aditya replied to the same with Shabana Azmi! Aditya goofed up which forced even Karan to reply "you don't identify your sister-in-law".

Aditya drank so much for a scene in Aashiqui 2 that they had to pack up- Aditya Roy Kapoor played a drunkard in the film 'Aashiqui 2'. To prepare for his role, he drank some alcohol to make it look more realistic while shooting. When Karan asked Aditya did he really get drunk for a few scenes, Aditya said, "I tried my hand at it. It was the only right thing to do as an actor. I tried it, we packed up one day. Otherwise you are slurring your lines". Shraddha also added saying he was "fully slurring but it was fun to watch".
