Sonam Kapoor made her second appearance on 'Koffee With Karan' with her father Anil Kapoor. We bring you the foot in the mouth replies and other interesting tid-bits from this episode.

If you're not good-looking, you're a good actor: Leave it to Sonam Kapoor to give some interesting comments on the film industry. Bollywood's fashionista told Karan Johar on 'Koffee With Karan' that "people think you need to look like you're from the pind. Just because you look ordinary and act loud doesn't mean you're a good actor". When asked about her opinion on how people think she is a fashion icon but not an actress, Sonam said that people believe "If you're not good looking, they think you're a good actor". Sonam cracked up both her father Anil Kapoor and host Karan Johar with this statement. Anil Kapoor agreed with his daughter and said that he is ordinary looking and so people thought he acts well. Anil even said that "Manmohan Desai said Jackie Shroff is a superstar and Anil Kapoor is just an actor".

I am an icon- Leaving no stone upturned to make our Koffee experience more interesting was Sonam Kapoor. Being as vocal about her thoughts and perspectives as she was last time when she shared the couch with Deepika Padukone. What's an actress without being a little bit conceited? Well, that's exactly what we got from Sonam Kapoor. Praising herself she said "I am considered as an icon in my 20s". Sonam not only praised herself but even added that "people are considered icons in their 40s or when they die" and its amazing what she has achieved till now. Her straight faced declaration of calling herself an 'icon' got a lot of laughs from host Karan Johar.

Sonam calls reality shows rubbish- While Anil Kapoor made his spectacular television debut with the Hindi remake of '24', his daughter thinks TV content has gone for a toss and needs to change. Sonam praised her father Anil Kapoor's TV debut but brushed aside other TV content especially reality shows. She said "rubbish reality shows are doing well". While Karan looked quite amused hearing Sonam's comments, Anil Kapoor added that "Karan is there in half of them". Karan also sheepishly added "I am judging quite a few of those".

Sonam as Minister of Fashion- Sonam not only spoke about films, relationships and her father Anil Kapoor on the show, but she reserved some of her comments for social issues as well. Sonam spoke about Article 377 and how as a celebrity is important for them to have an opinion on issues of importance. Even though Karan took a jibe at her and told Anil Kapoor "who is this Shobha De that you have got on the show". Sonam's avatar as the social commentator amused Karan and all of us especially when father Anil Kapoor said "Sonam wants to enter politics". We laughed the hardest on this revelation and host Karan Johar took a dig at Sonam and said "what do you want to be, the Minister of Fashion?" Well, lets leave Sonam's political ambitions for another day.

Anil Kapoor eats off everybody's plates- When Karan Johar asked Anil Kapoor his khobsoorti ka raaz, he confided that it is all due to his wife Sunita Kapoor. Sonam chipped in and said her mother is always like "Anil don't eat this, Anil don't eat that". Karan revealed that Anil is the worst host as he leaves in the middle of a party at his house and goes to sleep. But this isn't all, while his wife keeps his diet in check, Anil's nephew Arjun Kapoor revealed that Anil eats off everybody's plates! Arjun said that Anil would eat his rajma chawal from his plate and when his wife Sunita would ask he would lie to her that he hasn't eaten. Sonam agreed to this and said her father is petrified of her mom. Arjun Kapoor even admitted that "it is irritating spending time with him at a party" because women would hit on Anil more than they would hit at him. He said women come up to him and say "You're uncle is so good looking"!

Anil doesn't remember Sonam's boyfriends' names- Daughter Sonam Kapoor said her father Anil Kapoor is the "coolest dad ever". She also said that he doesn't remember any boyfriends' name. Anil added that "I know she is not serious about anybody". On 'Koffee With Karan' Sonam said that what's in the papers never goes away and that she doesn't want her kids to read about her relationships. Karan even asked the father daughter duo to admit whether Anil has trained Sonam to say 'just friends' when asked about her link-ups.

I dare Ranbir to get married- While he may be the coolest father in the world according to his daughter Sonam Kapoor, but Anil Kapoor warned Ranbir Kapoor of never dating Sonam. In the rapid fire round on the show, Karan asked Anil one actor who he thinks should never date Sonam, pat came the reply "Ranbir Kapoor". Even though, there were rumours about the lead pair of Sonam and Ranbir dating each other while the making of 'Saawariya', Anil thinks Ranbir should stay away from his daughter. Well, that's quite a statement, when soon after Sonam was asked the "Hot or Not" question on her Rapid Fire round she called Ranbir "very hot". But the father daughter duo agreed that Ranbir should now "settle down", so much so that Sonam also said "I dare him to get married" when asked one dare she would like to give Ranbir.

Sonam has an Alia moment too- It seems an Alia Bhatt moment on the show has become a trend of sorts. While Alia Bhatt called Prithviraj Chavan the President of India on the show 'Koffee With Karan'. Varun Dhawan, Alia's co-star from 'Student of the Year' too became the butt of all jokes with "Manmohan Singh" as the answer to the question. When we thought, we won't get such stupid responses to the questions, we got a shocker when Anushka Sharma called Ashok Chavan the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Sonam Kapoor also had a similar blonde moment when Karan asked to name the person who said "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind", Sonam Kapoor quickly responded with "Robert De Niro" while the correct answer was Mahatma Gandhi! Well, we don't have words for this one.

Parineeti shouldn't wear tight clothes- Leave it to fashionista Sonam Kapoor to give fashion advice to people. When it comes to contemporary actresses, Sonam didn't spare Parineeti Chopra. When Karan asked Sonam a fashion advice she would give to Parineeti Chopra, she said "don't wear those tight clothes". Parineeti's fashion sense hasn't gone down well with guests on 'Koffee With Karan'. Alia Bhatt who came earlier on the show with Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan had also commented on Parineeti's dressing sense and said she would give a book "Dummy's guide to fashion" to her. While Parineeti took Alia's comments in her stride, we wonder what she has to say to about Sonam's fashion tip.

Anil doesn't know the name of Slumdog Millionarie's author- Well, we can spare Sonam Kapoor for her Robert De Niro answer but we can't spare Anil Kapoor for not remembering the name of the author of the book on which the film "Slumdog Millionaire" is based. In the Koffee Quiz round when Karan asked Sonam and Anil to name the author and the book on which 'Slumdog Millionaire' is based, both of them couldn't come up with an answer. Anil said he went up on the stage with him also but just couldn't remember neither his name nor the name of the book. Even Sonam told her father "Dad, this is really bad". It was only when Karan said the author's name is Vikas Swaroop, did Anil remember it. Even if he might not admit it, we think age is definitely catching up with Anil.
