Virbhadra Singh has said that he had no ill intention or disregard against former chief minister and leader of opposition
Prem Kumar Dhumal and his family members. He said that opposition had been leveling baseless accusations at him and his family members for the last few years but he had always been given clean chit by the judiciary and investigating agencies in every case.
Virbhadra Singh that he had political and ideological differences with Dhumal but personally there was cordial relationship with him and he always gave due regard to the ideas and suggestions of the opposition in the democracy. “I have no enmity and bitterness against Prem Kumar Dhumal and his family members, as had been indicated,” he added.
He also advised the opposition to respect the public mandate and to act as per the role given to them by the people of state. He said that opposition had been making un-necessary hue and cry over his physical and political weakness whereas the fact was that even today he was working for 18-20 hours daily in the service of the people besides touring different corners of the State to redress the public grievances.
He said that he had full faith in the judiciary of the country but it was disheartening that cases which were under inquiry by investigating agencies and judiciary were being presented in the public in a vague manner, which was not good for the democratic decency.
He said that he had always regarded and followed the rules, regulations and democratic values in his political life of over 50 years and always believed in providing justice in the cases where the law of the land was not honoured. “I am always committed to protect the interests of the State and its people,” he added.
He said that his only political objective was to ensure overall development of Himachal Pradesh and bring prosperity in the life style of the common man for which he was working tirelessly.
