Actors share quirky tattoo tales

Dancer-actress Sukhada Khandkekar loves the peacock feather and hence she got a peacock feather tattooed on her hand sometime back. She now plans to tattoo her husband actor Abhijeet Khandkekar’s name. She said, “I told Abhi that I want to get his name tattooed. I have not decided where and in what format I will tattoo his name yet.” Sukhada. Currently Sukhada is active in Hindi theatre.

Sai Tamhankar loves the concept of tattoos. She had said, “Something that stays with you forever. I was however, sure that the tattoos I get done on my body have some significance. I have four tattoos on my body and each tattoo has something to do with my relationship with Ameya." Speaking about getting the two dates tattooed on her shoulder Sai said, "I have got 27 and 7 April tattooed on my shoulder in Roman script. No one can read it easily and it looks good. These two days are the most important days of my life and hence I got it tattooed." Sai has Ameya's name inked on her neck in Hebrew script, she has star on her right thumb and she has HBPHG inked on her left index finger.

Actress Tejaswini Pandit had accompanied her brother-in-law when he had gone to get a tattoo. She got really excited at the idea and she too got a little devil tattooed on her leg. Tejaswini's close friend Spruha teases her over the tattoo saying that the little devil is her reflection. The actress plans to get another tattoo soon. “I have plans to get another tattoo soon. What and where I am still figuring out,” she said. Tejaswini’s husband Bhushan Bopche too got her name tattooed on his hand.

Actress Manava Naik is a dog lover. Her love for her pet Kanoji is widely known as the actress had got the pug marks tattooed on her shoulder as his pug marks. A while ago the actress had posted a photo of hers with Kanoji and wrote, “3 years since Kanoji passed away. Miss u loads. Still a heavy heart.” People close to Manava have often told about her fondness for Kanoji. A source close to her said, “Manava wanted Kanoji to be with her forever therefore she got the pug marks tattooed.

Manasi Naik has a tattoo of a black cat with red belt studded with a diamond sitting on a moon with red hearts. She got the tattoo made because she wanted to shed her inhibitions. Speaking about her tattoo she had told us, “I love cats. In fact I have three cats at home and one of them is black. So I got a black cat tattooed. Diamond signifies my femininity. Also the moon has been my best friend since my childhood. So I put them together for a tattoo.”
