Uttaran to end in March?

After running for over five years, Uttaran, which features Tina Dutta and Rashami Desai as lead actresses, is finally set to bid adieu to its viewers. The rumours of it going off air have been doing the rounds courtesy its poor run of late.

And now, sources associated with it have confirmed that the channel has finally decided to pull the plug on it. The show has gone through several makeovers since its ratings registered a dip including a generation leap.Says a source, “The show has run its course and we have tried every possible trick in trade. The ratings of the show have slipped considerably. There are plans to revamp the storyline and if that doesn’t improve the ratings, the channel will end the show in March.” Both Rashami and Tina didn’t revert to our text messages.
