At no. 2, Denmark retained the same spot this year as per the World Happiness Report.

Iceland, with its robust healthcare and infrastructure, stood at 3rd rank, same as 2023.

Sweden ranks fourth in World Happiness Report 2024. Its emphasis on work-life balance and social equality which helped the country to move up the table from 6th rank in 2023.

The middle-eastern nation slipped from 4th rank to 5th in World Happiness Report.

The European nation's rank slipped to 6th from 5th in 2023.

Norway's rank remained unchanged at 7th with a score of 7.302.

Luxembourg climbed up a slot to 8th this year due to its rich culture and historical landscape.

The European nation came 9th in the World Happiness report of 2024, sliding a position down from its 8th position in 2023.

Australia ranked 10th in World Happiness Report 2024.

India ranked 126th out of 143 nations in World Happiness Reports 2024. It was at the same position in 2023. India's low ranking is attributed to factors like low income, poor health outcomes, limited social support, etc.

For the first time since the World Happiness Report began over a decade ago, the United States has fallen out of the top 20 happiest countries worldwide. The US was placed 23rd, a drop from its 15th position the previous year.
