Women who brutally killed boyfriend attacks again, this time her defence lawyer
A convicted murderer who killed and dismembered her boyfriend during a drug-fuelled sexual encounter has once again lashed out in court, this time at her own defence lawyer.Taylor Schabusiness, 27, had to be restrained by at least five court deputies on Friday after she attempted to attack her attorney, Paul Julka, during a court appearance in Wisconsin. The dramatic moment, caught on camera and published by Court TV, showed her suddenly screaming and lunging at Julka while he was calmly speaking to the judge about a witness.
The lawyer is seen throwing his hands up and backing away as Schabusiness flailed on the courtroom floor, shouting something unintelligible. The hearing was later moved to Zoom following the outburst. This is the second time Schabusiness has attacked a member of her legal team. In 2023, she was filmed physically assaulting another defence lawyer in a similarly chaotic courtroom incident.Schabusiness is currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of 24-year-old Shad Thyrion. She strangled him at his family home in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in February 2022. According to police testimony, she told investigators she "enjoyed" choking him and wanted to "see what would happen" if she didn’t stop.
After killing Thyrion, Schabusiness mutilated his body, cutting off his head and genitals, and scattered his remains throughout the home and in a vehicle. His mother made the horrific discovery of his severed head in a bucket in the family basement.Green Bay police detective David Graf testified that Schabusiness admitted to "sucking" and cutting Thyrion apart at the same time. She even said she "liked" decapitating him and later cuddled his corpse. She was ultimately found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide, third-degree sexual assault, and mutilating a corpse. A jury rejected her insanity plea. Her latest hearing, originally scheduled to address an alleged attack on a prison guard, had to be postponed and conducted virtually due to Friday’s violent outburst.
