Fauci, if you have forgotten, is Anthony Fauci, the Covid era’s most recognisable scientist worldwide, and “ouchie” is a child’s cute warning that needles hurt. It’s a tribute to the 80-year-old who stood firm by science while his president, Donald Trump, scorned masks, pushed disinfectant and UV light as Covid treatments, and was receptive to cries of “fire Fauci”.
