US President Donald Trump endorses treason charges against Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton
WASHINGTON: Politics in America headed into dangerous, uncharted waters on Wednesday with US President Trump appearing to endorse charging his political adversaries - including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton - with treason.
Amid an almost daily outburst against the
The implied threat came on the heels of Trump's serial Twitter attack on Mueller, including calling him a "conflicted prosecutor who has gone rogue," amid reports that the special counsel is closing in on some of President Trump's associates, one of whom, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, is accused of lying after a plea deal.
President Trump is suggesting that Manafort is being forced to implicate him.
"While the disgusting Fake News is doing everything within their power not to report it that way, at least 3 major players are intimating that the Angry Mueller Gang of Dems is viciously telling witnesses to lie about facts & they will get relief. This is our Joseph McCarthy Era!" Trump tweeted shortly before retweeting the meme on treason.
An earlier three-tweet rant on Tuesday read, "The Phony Witch Hunt continues, but Mueller and his gang of Angry Dems are only looking at one side, not the other. Wait until it comes out how horribly & viciously they are treating people, ruining lives for them refusing to lie. Mueller is a conflicted prosecutor gone rogue...The Fake News Media builds Bob Mueller up as a Saint, when in actuality he is the exact opposite. He is doing TREMENDOUS damage to our Criminal Justice System, where he is only looking at one side and not the other."
"Heroes will come of this, and it won't be Mueller and his... terrible Gang of Angry Democrats. Look at their past, and look where they come from. The now $30,000,000 Witch Hunt continues and they've got nothing but ruined lives. Where is the Server? Let these terrible people go back to the Clinton Foundation and 'Justice' Department!" he added, amid speculation that he would pardon Manafort if he received a severe sentence.
The fact that the US President is questioning his own justice department and endorsing accusations of treason against its former and current officials, including deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, points to his growing panic at the direction of the
But it is his constant denigration over the past week of FBI special counsel Robert Mueller - who is a registered Republican and who was appointed to head the FBI by President Bush - that has stood out, compelling talking heads to speculate widely why he is having a meltdown.
While Mueller has virtually nailed the case against Trump associate Paul Manafort on various counts, the President and his associates say the special counsel is trying to persuade him to incriminate Trump.
Manafort's lawyers meanwhile are reporting to be briefing Trump's attorneys about Mueller's line of questioning, leading the President to allege that the "Angry Mueller Gang of Dems is viciously telling witnesses to lie about facts & they will get relief. This is our Joseph McCarthy Era!"

Very good Drama. What I wonder is since Donald Trump didn''t work out so well for Russia, did the Russians help the Democrats this time? Why is there no investigation into that (to keep it non partisan)?Read allPost comment
