US President-elect Donald Trump on Friday announced that businessman Bill Briggs will serve as the next deputy administrator of the small business administration (SBA) in his second administration. Bill will work alongside Kelly Loeffler, Trump’s choice for SBA administrator, to support the American dream for small businesses, according to the president-elect.
Trump made the announcement on his 'Truth Social' platform.
"I am pleased to announce that Bill Briggs will serve as the next Deputy Administrator of the US Small Business Administration," he said.
"Bill will work with our next SBA Administrator, Kelly Loeffler, to secure the American Dream for Small Businesses, which are the backbone of our Economy," Trump added.
Who is Bill Briggs?Bill Briggs is a businessman who previously served as the acting associate administrator in the office of capital access at SBA during Trump’s first presidential term. During his tenure, Briggs oversaw the historic Paycheck Protection Program, which saved many businesses and millions of jobs, according to Trump.
