'Trump is smart and ... ': Barack Obama's former adviser Van Jones praises US President-elect

Former Barack Obama adviser Van Jones praised US President-elect Donald Trump and said that he is smarter than all the critics including him.

He also highlighted Trump's significant influence, labeling him as the "most powerful human on earth" during discussions around President-elect's unexpected political successes.

In a video he was heard saying, "Donald Trump is smarter than me, you and all critics. You know why we know? Because he has the White House, the Senate, the House. The popular vote. He has a massive media ecosystem, bigger than the mainstream built around him and for him, and a religiously religious fervor in a political movement around him. And he is best buddy, is the richest person in the history of the world and the most relevant Kennedy is with him."



"He, this dude is, is a phenomenon. He is the most powerful human on earth and in our lifetime. And we're still saying, well, how is this God, we look like idiots to ordinary. You're totally right," Van Jones added.

This clip goes viral on internet with people saying, "Trump is a genius. I know it. You know it. Van Jones knows it!"

Earlier Van Jones delivered a pointed critique to the "political class" regarding their failure to connect with voters as effectively as President-elect Donald Trump during the 2024 electoral contest, suggesting their strategies were significantly "off."

At the New York Times DealBook summit this month, the 56-year-old Jones shared his critical analysis of Vice President Kamala Harris's substantial defeat to Trump on November 5, New York Post reported.

During a panel discussion with Trump's senior adviser Jason Miller and former 2016 campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, Jones stated, "I want to talk real. You guys shouldn't be as happy as you are because, 2016, people voted for change because they were fed up and sick of it, gave Trump a chance; 2020, people voted for change because they were sick of Trump; 2024, they voted for change, they're probably gonna vote for change a bunch more times because, this — something is off, man."

He continued by highlighting the disconnect between political parties and ordinary citizens, "There's something really going wrong for real everyday working folks in this country, and I'm not sure either party has an answer yet. We know how to beat each other up when the other one is in power, but can we solve any of these problems?"
