In a shocking incident, three teenagers in Texas allegedly attempted to stab their mother with kitchen knives after she turned off the Wi-Fi, according to local authorities.
The siblings, aged 14, 15, and 16, reportedly made a plan to attack their mother after she turned off the Wi-Fi, Harris County sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. The alleged incident took place on Sunday night at their Houston residence.
Authorities said the teens armed themselves with kitchen knives and pursued their mother through the house and onto the street. In the course of the altercation, the mother was also struck with a brick, Gonzalez noted. Their grandmother, who tried to intervene and protect the mother, was knocked down in the process.
Fortunately, neither the mother nor the grandmother sustained serious injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
The three teenagers were subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They were booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, officials confirmed.
