Donald Trump on Friday launched a religiously charged attack on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar amid his immigration crackdown after White House shooting suspect was identified to be from Afghanistan.
"The seriously retarded Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, does nothing, either through fear, incompetence, or both, while the worst “Congressman/woman” in our Country, Ilhan Omar, always wrapped in her swaddling hijab, and who probably came into the USA illegally in that you are not allowed to marry your brother, does nothing but hatefully complain about our Country, its Constitution, and how “badly” she is treated, when her place of origin is a decadent, backward, and crime ridden nation, which is essentially not even a country for lack of Government, Military, Police, schools, etc…," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
He also announced that he would "permanently ban migration from all third world countries".
For years, critics of Ilhan Omar have circulated a persistent rumour claiming she once married her biological brother to help him commit immigration fraud. The allegation first appeared on a Somali-American forum in 2016 and was later amplified by conservative activists and media personalities.
