NEW DELHI: In a horrifying incident, a San Antonio man was arrested for allegedly cutting a woman's throat and leaving her to die in a Texas field
According to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, the attacker, identified as Roger Gonzalez, was arrested from his home after he allegedly stabbed the victim on Friday afternoon. The sheriff's office said that the victim was left for dead rolled up in plastic in a pasture, The New York Post reported.
Luckily, she was found alive and was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Strangely, the victim was found with an ankle monitor during the disturbing assault.
Gonzalez was charged with first-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony. His bail was increased from $40,000 to $275,000 by a justice of the peace.
He remains in county jail in lieu of bond, authorities said.
