NEW DELHI: The New York Rangers secured a convincing 5-1 victory over the Washington Capitals, extending their recent success with five wins in their last six games. K'Andre Miller played a starring role for the Rangers, contributing two goals and an assist in the impressive win.

The Capitals initially took the lead with Anthony Mantha's goal at 4:12 of the second period. However, the Rangers responded, and K'Andre Miller tied the game at 7:03 with a well-executed give-and-go play with Mika Zibanejad, finishing with a backhand shot.


Artemi Panarin put the Rangers ahead with a power-play goal at 12:08 of the second period. Braden Schneider quickly added another goal just 40 seconds later to increase the lead to 3-1.

In the third period, K'Andre Miller scored his second goal of the night at 6:54, extending the Rangers' lead to 4-1. Alexis Lafreniere sealed the victory with a goal at 11:15, making it 5-1.

The Rangers' power-play unit continued its impressive streak, scoring at least one power-play goal in eight consecutive games. Goaltender Igor Shesterkin made 26 saves to secure the win for New York.

Unfortunately, the Rangers lost defenseman Jacob Trouba to an upper-body injury early in the second period. Despite this setback, the team showcased its depth and resilience in securing the decisive victory over the Capitals.
