Ashley Biden, daughter of former US President
Joe Biden, has filed for divorce from her husband, Dr Howard Krein, after more than 13 years of marriage, according to court records.
The 44-year-old submitted the divorce petition on Monday in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, as reported by New York Post. In a now expired story, she shared an
Instagram story showing herself walking in a park and giving a thumbs up. She also posted a quote stating: “New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won’t look or sound like they did before.”
Biden and Krein married in June 2012 at St Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church in Greenville, Delaware. The two first met in 2010 through her late brother, Beau Biden, who passed away from cancer in 2015.
After their wedding, the couple settled into a $1.3 million home in Philadelphia, where Krein works as an otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, as reported by the Independent.
