NEW DELHI: Martin Jones stood tall in net, making 31 saves to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-0 victory against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, ending the Maple Leafs' three-game losing streak. This marked Jones' second shutout of the season and the 30th of his NHL career, putting him in a tie for seventh among active NHL goalies alongside the Kings' Cam Talbot and the Washington Capitals' Darcy Kuemper.

William Nylander played a crucial role in the win, contributing two goals. Calle Jarnkrok scored the other goal, and Tyler Bertuzzi recorded two primary assists for the Maple Leafs.

The game's first goal came at 5:13 of the second period when Nylander converted a one-timer after a smart play by John Tavares and a well-executed backhand touch pass from Bertuzzi. Jarnkrok extended the lead to 2-0 at 8:14 of the second, scoring 11 seconds after Toronto's second power play expired. Max Domi's effort to take the puck from Drew Doughty and Bertuzzi's centering pass set up Jarnkrok for the goal.

Despite Los Angeles changing up their lines in the second period and generating more shots on goal, Jones remained solid, denying all attempts to keep a clean sheet. Nylander sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with one minute left, securing a 3-0 win for the Maple Leafs.

The victory is a welcome turnaround for Toronto, ending their recent struggles and providing a boost as they look to regain momentum in the season. On the other hand, the Kings continue to face challenges, having lost three games in a row for the second time in less than a month.
