Ivanka Trump, daughter of President-elect Donald Trump, shared a post on social media on Thursday, reflecting on her family’s journey through her father’s first term.
As Donald Trump prepares for his second inauguration on January 20, Ivanka expressed her gratitude for the "special moments" she experienced at the White House.
In her post, Ivanka shared a series of personal photos, including one of her children at the White House, as well as a picture of her dancing with her husband, Jared Kushner, at the Inauguration Gala.
Reflecting on her first days in Washington, D.C., Ivanka wrote, “As the Inauguration approaches, I find myself filled with gratitude as I reflect on special moments with my father and family from eight years ago when we first stepped off Air Force One.”

Among the memories she cherished most was witnessing her father become the 45th President of the United States, lighting Shabbat candles in the Lincoln Bedroom with her husband, and watching her son, Theodore, crawl for the first time in the White House State Dining Room. Another moment she remembered fondly was when her daughter, Arabella, sneaked through the secret door of the Resolute Desk.
Ivanka also shared excitement for her father’s second inauguration. “I look forward to watching my father take the oath of office again as the 47th President of the United States,” she wrote, adding that she was proud of his strength and resilience, and eager to celebrate the milestone with him once more.
Her post received many comments from her followers with one user writing, “Your growth into a wonderful woman reflects well on your father, who has been an exemplary president, leader, and dad. Thank you for being you, and best wishes for health and happiness.”
A follower noted the similarities between Ivanka’s daughter’s pose and skateboarding, saying, “Your daughter might not know it, but she's doing a stylish backside air grab. In vertical skateboarding, we called the grab a ‘crooked-cop’ or ‘melon,’ made famous by Lester Kasai. Posture is similar to a Japan Air made famous by Tony Hawk. Get her on a Skateboard Vert Ramp!”
