Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi to move to UK because of Trump?

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, now live in the Cotswolds, an area in south-central England. DeGeneres, a former talk show host, chose to relocate there. A source close to DeGeneres stated the move from the United States came after Donald Trump's election, Dailymail reported.

The couple's house in Montecito is reportedly for sale. The house is located north of Los Angeles. They bought the property in 2019 and made it their main home. It is unclear if they plan to sell other homes in Southern California. Riskin Partners, the real estate firm handling the listing, did not respond to requests for comment.

In her new Netflix comedy special, "Relatable," comedian Ellen DeGeneres addresses the criticism she faced in 2018 regarding allegations of a toxic workplace environment on her talk show.

DeGeneres acknowledged the public's shift in perception of her, stating, “The ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. That was the headline.”

Since ending her talk show, DeGeneres has focused on hobbies such as gardening and raising chickens.

“The relocation to England is a reflection of a yearning for a new beginning,” the source said.
