‘Don’t even think about entering America illegally’
NEW DELHI: Amid deportations of illegals and cancellations of certain visas, US embassy in India issued a clear warning Thursday: “If you are considering entering America illegally, don’t even think about it.”
In a post on X, the embassy carried a message from US secretary of homeland security Kristi Noem who said: “...If you are a criminal alien considering entering America illegally, don’t even think about it. If you come here and you break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the US. President Trump is keeping his promise to make America safe again.”
This statement comes soon after a similar warning from US secretary of state Marco Rubio. On March 13, Rubio had said on X, “Coming to the US on a visa is a privilege, not a right. Trump administration is determined to deny or revoke your visa” if you indulge in an illegal act or support terror groups.” He said a US visa is not a “birthright”.
