Donald Trump Jr's 'Soros' reply to 'I didn't vote for Elon Musk': Cry harder
Donald Trump Jr Wednesday came out strongly in defence of Elon Musk's action against the federal departments and replied to concerns that Elon Musk was not elected. Sharing a collage of photos of Alex Soros, son of George Soros, with Democratic politicians including former presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama and former vice president Kamala Harris, Donald Trump Jr wrote, "Well cry harder libs. We didn't vote for this clown either, yet he controls the democrat party. The difference is Trump ran & was elected in a landslide with full transparency that Elon would be doing exactly what he's doing. See the difference?" Soon after Donald Trump's election win, at a Mar-a-Lago gathering, Elon Musk volunteered to be the Soros of the right.
Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency team have led to a major shake-up after the federal employees were offered a deferred resignation program in which they can choose to resign by February 6 and receive their salary and other facilities through September, or come to the office for work. Next, the DOGE team got access to the federal payments system, Elon Musk announced that he discussed shutting down USAID -- the agency for international development -- with Donald Trump and he agreed to it.
As DOGE goes about scanning other departments, reports claim DOGE representatives have been combing through IT databases of NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).
A Guardian report said the staff of the department of labor are already protesting ahead of their scheduled meeting with the DOGE staff.
As Democrats are complaining that Elon Musk is not an elected government official to do what he has been doing, President Donald Trump said Elon Musk can't and won't do anything without the approval of the administration. Trump said Elon Musk is a great cost-cutter and he reports to the administration and decisions are taken only if the administration agrees to his suggestion. If there is any problem or crisis, Elon Musk would not be allowed to go near that, Trump said.
