Did Bill Ackman donate to ICE officer Jonathan Ross who shot Minneapolis woman Renee Good dead?
Hedge fund manager Bill Ackman shared a fundraising campaign for ICE officer Jonathan Ross who shot Minneapolis woman Renee Good dead -- triggering speculation as to whether the billionaire himself donated for the cause. The donor list names one William Ackman as a top donor who donated $10,000 for Jonathan Ross but it is not confirmed whether it's Bill Ackman or it's some other William Ackman. Bill Ackman has not issued any statement on this and has only shared the campaign.
"After seeing all the media bs about a domestic terrorist getting go fund me. I feel that the officer that was 1000 percent justified in the shooting deserves to have a go fund me. Funds will go to help pay for any legal services this officer needs. I am currently in contact with his father and awaiting the officers response so I can send him the link to hand this over to him personally," Clyde Emmons, who created the fundraiser, wrote. It received around 2.6k donations and raised around $132k within a day.
While Jonathan's father spoke to the media after the shooting, there has been no trace of Ross and his family. Some reports claimed that they have been in hiding fearing for their life as there are death threats. Though the administration did not release Jonathan's name, the details that the ICE agent got severely injured in 2025 during one operatio disclosed his identity.
Trump's border czar Tom Homan has been the latest voice from the administration to come forward to defend the shooting. “I’m begging, I’m begging, tone down the rhetoric. In my career, I’ve buried border patrol agents, I’ve buried ICE agents, and the saddest thing I’ve ever had to do is hand a folded flag to a spouse or a child. I don’t want to see anybody die. Anybody," Homan said on the Dr Phil podcast. “So, for God’s sake, let’s tone the rhetoric down. Less blood. I don’t want to see more bloodshed. I didn’t want to see blood from day one. With the rhetoric now, comparing ICE to murders and the Chief Secret Police, I’m afraid this is not over.”

Trump-led US moves that are aggressive indicate not only US expansionism but also risk of WW-III. But is that the real problem/danger for ordinary people? As an ordinary Indian (be it NRI or RI), are you aware just 56,000 people, or 0.001% of 8 billion, control global wealth, which translates to unreasonable power and unimaginable influence over our lives? This should explain two inter-twined trends: i) rise of strongmen, despots, authoritarians, techno-feudals, multibillionaires; and ii) trillions of dollars flowing as investments into AI, AGI, LLMs, algos, automation, robotics, hyper-clouds, data centers, new materials, life sciences (including biotech), space pursuits, brain-destroying social media/digital entertainment, and body-compromising GM foods. Can we ordinary people rest assured our present and future are safe and secure? Will the elites create heaven on earth for us or for themselves? "Universal basic income", Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Finance -- do they herald utopia? Promises like "AI will free up humans from drudgery and create quality time to do quality things" -- are they genuine? Wake up. Figure out what the global trends portend for us ordinary people. Don't dumbly consume and accept popular narratives and rhetoric -- they are sugar-coated lies and poisons. Dystopia is already here, albeit in a benign form. It will turn increasingly nasty and brazen. But, to stop you from seeing reality as it is, elites employ a neat strategy. On the one hand, your life will be made super hectic, tiring, debilitating or near impossible in an environment of insecurity, uncertainty, confusion, under-development, substandard amenities, dog-eat-dog, cut-throat competition, hiring freezes, layoffs or anti-commoner policies (including tighter immigration controls, curbs on movement, visa restrictions, racism, violence, etc). On the other, your mind will be saturated with addictive but ultimately useless content (filth packaged as "news", sports, entertainment, gaming, betting, social media, etc). Dirty "market forces" will trick even your body to become dependent on addictive or habitual F&Bs. To educate, enlighten and empower yourself, read, watch and listen only the right content.
