Celeste Rivas case: D4vd was spotted near missing girl's house - Report
Singer , known as , was seen in the area where 15-year-old Celeste Rivas lived before her disappearance, TMZ reported. A photograph reviewed by the outlet appeared to show the rising artist interacting with a man carrying a bag in Lake Elsinore, California — less than a third of a mile from Rivas’s family home. According to TMZ, the spot was only a six-minute walk from where she had last been living with her relatives in April 2024.
Another image circulating online appears to show D4vd with a girl resembling Rivas, though authorities have not confirmed the identification. TMZ said that side-by-side comparisons suggested a striking similarity.
The report comes days after officials identified Rivas as the body found inside a registered to the 20-year-old singer. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed her identity on Wednesday, noting that the cause of death remains “deferred” pending further examination. The teenager’s remains were discovered on 8 September in an advanced state of decomposition at a Hollywood tow yard, after staff reported a foul odour coming from the impounded vehicle.
TMZ reported it first received a tip that Rivas was the victim and contacted her mother, who told the outlet she was suspicious because police had said the girl had a “Shhh...” tattoo on her right index finger — a mark her daughter also had. The mother added that Rivas had a boyfriend named David. TMZ pointed out that D4vd himself has the same tattoo on his finger.
The Tesla, a 2023 model with Texas plates, had been abandoned on a Los Angeles street and later towed. Workers at the lot found the body stuffed inside a bag in the front trunk. ABC7 reported that the vehicle had been there for around five days before the discovery.
Authorities have not disclosed how Rivas’s body ended up in the car or whether the singer is being treated as a suspect. D4vd, who rose to fame in 2022 with the viral hit Romantic Homicide, has cancelled at least one concert, including a scheduled performance in Seattle last week. Neither he nor his representatives have issued any public comment as the investigation continues.
