Protests across America

People across the United States came out in large numbers on Saturday to protest against president Donald Trump’s leadership. Demonstrations were held in many cities, marking one of the biggest days of protest since he returned to office. (AP photo)

More than 1,200 protests were planned across all 50 states. These were organised by over 150 groups, including civil rights organisations, labour unions, LGBTQ+ activists, veterans, and election reform groups. The protests were peaceful, and there were no reports of arrests at the time. (AP photo)
