Rapper 6ix9ine turned himself in on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, to start a three-month jail sentence for violating his supervised release. The rapper surrendered at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he will spend the next roughly 90 days. In a video shared online, 6ix9ine received help removing his ankle monitor from social media influencer SteveWillDoIt and Adin Ross before joking about fleeing back to Miami. He captioned the post, “Thank you guys so much see you in 3 months ❤️.” Fans watched as the rapper prepared to start serving his sentence, which followed multiple violations of his supervised release after spending about a year in prison for a 2018 gang RICO case.
