“Pick the time”: Candace Owens accepts TPUSA's challenge for a live show amid Charlie Kirk murder claims

Conservative political commentator Candace Owens has dramatically responded to an invitation from Turning Point USA (TPUSA), signaling a potential showdown after weeks of leveling unproven claims about the organization’s leadership. The invitation, extended on The Charlie Kirk Show, challenged Owens to appear live to discuss her persistent accusations that TPUSA leadership "betrayed" the organization's founder, Charlie Kirk, following his assassination on September 10.

Candace Owens has speculated on the organization's role in the event without offering proof. She has now publicly accepted the challenge, suggesting the high-stakes confrontation could happen immediately.

Candace Owens demands immediate, unplanned debate with TPUSA leadership

The challenge to Candace Owens was issued by Blake Neff on The Charlie Kirk Show. Neff directly addressed the "flood of allegations" Candace Owens made against TPUSA, its action arm, and the show's employees and Kirk’s friends since the founder’s death. Neff argued that Kirk would not stand for someone spreading lies about those closest to him and that honoring Kirk meant defending his friends.



Neff explicitly invited Owens to join them for a live stream at their Phoenix studio, stating, “If Candace is available, we would sincerely welcome her participation in that live stream at our studio here in Phoenix. At this point, we believe the ball is back in her court. Our motivation for doing this is not out of any obligation to Candace. It is about honoring Charlie.”

Owens used her own podcast to respond, noting that TPUSA had finally moved to "respond" to her claims. She quickly accepted the invitation, framing the entire situation as a "major win," saying she had only ever asked for "sensible answers to questions about what happened on September 10."

Beyond just accepting, Owens proposed an immediate, unscripted engagement, “I accept,” Owens said... “You can pick the place. You can pick the time. I say we do it tomorrow.”

She further emphasized the need for authenticity, adding, "We don't need to plan for this... I want it to be authentic. You can take the money. We can raise money live.” This desire for an unvarnished debate suggests the meeting, if it occurs, will be highly charged. The controversy continues despite authorities having arrested and charged a suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, in Kirk's murder.
