A short clip about Kai Cenat has been spreading quickly on X, and it has left many fans confused. The viral post claims that the popular Twitch streamer said he would never return to livestreaming because he already made $200 million during his “Mafiathon 3” subathon. The clip also includes a line suggesting that Cenat said he is now “rich for life.” However, there is no proof that Kai Cenat made such a statement.

The claim started after an X user, @obsrvate, shared a 43-second video on March 6, 2026 and added the caption saying the streamer had decided to stop streaming after earning that amount of money. But when viewers checked the original source of the clip, the story turned out to be misleading. The footage actually comes from a January 3, 2026 video on Kai Cenat’s alternate YouTube channel, “kai’s Mind.” In that video, Cenat was talking about something very different, learning not to worry about what people think.

The viral clip was taken from a longer video titled “Stop caring about what people think,” which Kai Cenat posted on his YouTube channel kai’s Mind earlier this year. In that video, the New York creator speaks about how he used to care a lot about criticism when he first started making content. Over time, he says his perspective changed.




“Think, too, as well is I often care about what people think,” Cenat said in the video. “And I’ve done it for the longest, since I started making content, and it’s so whack.” He continued by explaining why he now feels that worrying about public opinion is not worth the energy.

“The thought of caring what people think is so messed up because in a hundred years, or in a lot of years from now, we are going to die eventually,” he said. “Everybody that you hear talking about you, everybody that you hear speaking on your craft or saying, ‘You’re not good enough,’ it doesn’t make any sense.”

Cenat then encouraged viewers to focus on their own goals instead of spending time worrying about criticism. “We will all get to a time where we will all pass away,” he added. “So don’t waste years caring what people think.” Nowhere in the full video does he say he earned $200 million from Mafiathon, nor does he mention quitting streaming.

After the post went viral, several social media users pointed out the misinformation in the comments section. One X user wrote, “Yall clip pages getting annoying with the fake news.” Another user added, “Where in the video did he say that?” A third commenter explained the situation more clearly.

“If you look at the comments, it’s easy to spot who actually watched the video and who didn’t. Kai never said anything about making $200 million from his marathon stream or retiring.” At the moment, Kai Cenat has not announced any plan to stop streaming, and the viral claim appears to be based on a misinterpreted clip from his earlier video.
