The founder of InfoWars was ordered in 2022 to pay about $1.5 billion to families of victims from the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Courts ruled against him after he falsely claimed the tragedy was staged. As of mid-2024, court records show he has not paid the families, and his request to overturn the ruling was denied.
