Candace Owens questions security after Charlie Kirk killing calling out Brian Harpole over claims of no safety plan
Candace Owens is again speaking about the death of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA. Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in Utah. He died after being rushed to the hospital. His death shocked many people across the country.
Now, Owens says there were serious problems with Charlie Kirk’s security. On her show, she claimed that the security team did not have a clear plan for the days after the Utah event. Owens said she learned this after getting a tip from someone involved in planning a future event Kirk was supposed to attend.
During the show, Owens directly questioned Brian Harpole, who was part of Kirk’s security detail. She raised concerns about why law enforcement was not involved earlier and why safety steps were only taken after Kirk was killed.
Candace Owens, a conservative podcaster and former Turning Point USA member, said she received a tip from someone who helped plan an event Charlie Kirk was set to attend on September 11, 2025, in Colorado. According to Owens, the tip came from someone “directly involved” in the planning.
Candace Owens said that after Kirk was killed, a panic meeting took place. She claimed the meeting included the local police chief. During that meeting, Owens said the event was changed into a vigil.
Then she made a strong claim on her show. Owens said, “They were panicked because, believe it or not, they had no security plan in place.” She questioned how a high-profile speaker like Kirk could be traveling without clear safety plans already set.
Owens also asked why Turning Point USA’s security team did not work closely with police before the tragedy. She said officers were only added after Kirk’s death, not before.
As Candace Owens continues to ask questions, authorities have confirmed that 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was arrested in the case. He has been charged with murder and is facing trial, according to law enforcement.
