Candace Owens adds new twist to TPUSA invite as her backing out claims rise around the Charlie Kirk livestream

Candace Owens and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) are fighting again, and this time it is over a meeting time that she says she never agreed to. On Thursday, Candace Owens said TPUSA set a livestream time about her remarks on Charlie Kirk’s death without asking her first. She shared her anger on X and said she was surprised to learn about the plan only through a tweet.

This whole issue started after Charlie Kirk was killed on September 10 at Utah Valley University. Since then, Candace Owens has shared many ideas and claims about what happened, even saying TPUSA leaders “betrayed” Charlie Kirk. She has not shared proof for these claims.




Because her comments got a lot of attention, TPUSA’s Tyler Neff invited her to The Charlie Kirk Show to clear the air. At first, Candace Owens said yes. But when the date and time were posted without her input, things got heated again.

TPUSA sets the livestream time, and Candace Owens gets upset

Tyler Neff posted on X that the livestream would take place on Monday, December 15, at 4 pm Eastern. He said the stream would happen live from Charlie Kirk’s studio in Phoenix. He also said Candace Owens could join them in person if she wanted, and she should tell them by the end of the day.

But Candace Owens said no one asked her about her schedule. She said she found the post “weird” because TPUSA did not email or call her before setting the time. She said she only learned about it on X, and that made her upset.

Candace Owens says the time clashes with her own show

Candace Owens said the time chosen by TPUSA was the same time she does her own daily live podcast. She said TPUSA knew this already. Still, she tried to keep things open and said she could cancel her show for that day and join the livestream virtually instead of going to Phoenix.

She asked TPUSA if that option worked for them and said, “Let’s lock it in?”

Is Candace Owens backing out on TPUSA livestream?

Right now, she is not backing out. Candace Owens still wants to join the livestream on Charlie Kirk, but not in person, and not at the time TPUSA picked without asking her.

Many people on X supported her and said TPUSA should have checked with her first, especially because they were the ones who invited her first.
