Candace Owens accuses Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing of trying to bankrupt Brett Cooper with lawsuits after exit

Candace Owens has made fresh and serious claims against The Daily Wire, saying the company’s leadership went after former host Brett Cooper when Cooper decided to leave. The claims came after Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing spoke about Owens during an appearance on the Triggernometry podcast. Boreing discussed Owens’ time at the company and criticized her role there. Owens responded days later on the January 28 episode of her own podcast and followed it with posts on X on January 29.

Candace Owens accused Jeremy Boreing of abusing his power and said he targeted Cooper in a personal and professional way. According to Owens, Cooper faced pressure and legal threats simply for wanting to leave the company and move on with her life. Owens said the situation went far beyond normal business disagreements and called Boreing’s behavior extreme.

Owens said Boreing wanted strong control over Cooper’s career and personal choices. She claimed he asked Cooper not to get married because he had “big plans” to make her a star. Owens also alleged that Daily Wire closely monitored Cooper once she began thinking about leaving.




In a January 29 post on X, Candace Owens wrote, “They tried to bankrupt her via lawsuits on her way out as a consequence for her simply wanting to leave because Jeremy was a literal maniac who wanted dominion over her personal life.”

Candace Owens also accused the company of trying to damage Cooper’s image. She claimed Daily Wire attempted to label Cooper an “antisemite” after Cooper liked Owens’ year-end video on Instagram. Owens said the company later sued her for publicly supporting Cooper.

In another X post, Candace Owens added that Daily Wire offered what she called an “obscene amount of money” to Cooper’s maid of honor to replace her. She wrote that the wedding had already taken place in March and that the maid of honor was meant to work with Cooper on a new project.

Candace Owens further claimed the company paid influencers on X to spread the idea that she had “brainwashed” Cooper into leaving. She said she barely worked closely with Cooper until management allegedly turned against her.

In the comments under Owens’ podcast video, a user claiming to be Cooper’s mother wrote, “Thanks for revealing only PART of what Brett legally cannot reveal.” Owens liked the comment and replied, praising Cooper and saying she handled the situation with grace.

Candace Owens has continued to criticize Daily Wire leadership, including Ben Shapiro, across her podcast and social media. Daily Wire has not publicly responded to these latest claims.
