Twitch streamer Asmongold has always been known for his unfiltered honesty and unusual lifestyle, but his latest revelation might be one of his strangest yet. The 35-year-old content creator recently told fans that showering more often was a “mistake,” claiming it disrupted his so-called “evolution.”
Asmongold believes he was ‘evolving’ when he stopped showering
During a recent stream, Asmongold said that at one point, he didn’t shower for nearly three months, and insisted his skin was the “healthiest it had ever been.”
He explained that avoiding showers led his body to
“self-regulate,” joking that he was growing an “exoskeleton.”
“I stopped getting hot and I stopped getting cold,” he told his viewers.
“After I didn’t shower, I didn’t feel that way anymore, because of a self-regulating apparatus.”Asmongold even compared his experience to Pokémon evolution, saying he was “like a Geodude evolving into a Graveler.”
However, the streamer admitted that he’s been showering more frequently now, but called it “one of the worst decisions” of his life, since it apparently reversed his progress.
The streamer’s hygiene habits have always shocked fans

Back in 2024, he shocked his audience after cleaning his house for the first time in years and discovering a dead rat inside. He even admitted that, at one point, he used the decomposing rat as an “alarm clock,” since the stench from the sun-cooked corpse would wake him up.

If that wasn’t enough, Asmongold has also confessed to changing his pillowcase only twice in his entire life.
“One time I had a girlfriend move in,” he recalled.
“She said, ‘You need to change your pillowcases,’ and that was in 2019.”The streamer said that despite this, he doesn’t deal with acne anymore and believes his skin “adapted” over time. Fans were horrified but unsurprised, given his history of openly joking about cleanliness and lifestyle habits.
